Its been a while since we announced our PenBuddy Global Poetry Competition.

The theme for your poem is The World Around us and you are welcome to write whichever type of poem you like.

You don't know how to write a poem you say?

That not a problem we are here to help you. We are going to run 4 poetry online classes to teach you and help you how to write a poem and luckily win the competition.

You will be able to book the classes you are interested in and use the poem you write in the class for entering the competition.

Participation Criteria:

  • The PenBuddies Global Poetry competition is open to children aged 5-13 y.o.

  • The entries should be submitted via email to PenBuddies Global Poetry Competition 2021

  • The maximum length is 30 lines and should fit on one side of A4 paper

  • When submitting the poem, add your name, age, country, and a paragraph about yourself

  • The poem should be written in English

  • We will offer the Poetry writing workshops during July – September 2021. Workshops will be delivered virtually via Zoom*

  • All poetry styles and types are welcome, and we encourage drawings and artwork to accompany your poems

  • By submitting your entry, you accept the Terms and Conditions below


Competition Timeline:

  • Entry Submission Deadline: 30 September 2021

  • Winners Announcement: 12 December 2021

  • Awards ceremony: February 2022
