ORPHEUS AWARD WINNING POEMS
Global Winner: Daisy Shi - China
Creativity Prize: Leung Ho Yin Alice - Hong Kong
Who hurts you?
You used to smile a lot.
Chirp ,chirp, chirp.
White clouds climbed up
to you blue face,
Whisper, whisper, whisper.
Trees and grass chit-chatted with mountains.
Swish, swish, swish.
Streams ran here and there,
clink, clink, clink.
But now we are invading.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
You are sobbing day and night,
leaving your heart in shade.
Nobody listens,
because no one cares!
We are busy with making happiness.
You start to keep silence ever after!
Animals leave!
Rivers flood!
Lands cracks!
Everything is not in the track.
Your punishment makes us scared,
Shiver, shiver, shiver.
The clouds cry, the wind is furious,
Whiff, whoosh, whizz.
We know we have done something wrong to you,
Because of our selfishness.
It is the time to heal you.
Can you forgive us? I beg!
